Each Huron County Park campground offers fun and exciting events and activities that the whole family will enjoy
Caseville County Park
Cheeseburger is one of the most looked-forward-to events of the year. There are a variety of concerts, kids activities, and an assortment of different cheeseburger stands from restaurants throughout the city who compete for the prize of best burger. In addition, there is a classic car show, fireworks display, sand castles & sculptures contest, and a many other fun activities.
Ribstock is a competition to find who makes the best ribs in town. Restaurants setup rib stands and are judged to find the best ones in the city. There is a sand castle contest, classic car show, a rib cook off, softball tournaments, dancing, kid’s games, and live entertainment.
4th of July Fireworks
Celebrate the founding of the United States of America with a beautiful light show in the sky. Fireworks are set off from the break wall in Caseville, which is best park for viewing the show.
Halloween Weekend in the Park
Caseville County Park offers a fun-filled day of events for the kids during Halloween weekend. We offer face painting and pumpkin decorating, hay rides, a candy drop, and costume parade. And of course there is “Trick or Treating.” Each year a prize for the best decorated campsite is also given, so bring your decorations!
The annual Pumpkin Fest is a great event to kick off the fall season. It wouldn’t be complete without rolling pumpkins down the hills of Caseville County Park. There are many activities for kids to enjoy like a pumpkin decorating contest, cookie decorating, a corn maze, kids carnival and entertainment for the whole family.
Oak Beach Park
This is a fun filled day for everyone to enjoy, even if you just watch the kids. There are many activities like face painting, crafts, games, piñata, a costume contest, story reading, dancing, trick or treating through the park and even an outdoor movie (weather permitting).
The Pig Roast is a large group gathering in “The Back Yard” for everyone to enjoy. There is a pig roasted from and cooked by J & M Farms in Allenton, MI and everyone within the park brings a dish to pass. It’s a great time for everyone at the park.
Breakfast in the Park
There are a few of these events throughout the summer. It’s a time when women can relax and let the men do the cooking. Campers within the park donate items for the breakfast and the men cook. Everyone joins together in “The Back Yard” to enjoy the food prepared.
Sebewaing County Park
Garage and Craft Sale
The first Saturday in August is a time when campers within the park can set up a table and sell items that they wish to get rid of or no longer need. Crafty campers also sell crafts and trinkets which make great souvenirs.
Goblins, Ghosts, and Ghouls! We will be telling ghost story’s everyone’s enjoyment to enjoy until the park closes.
Stafford County Park
The ball tournaments are all held at the ball field at Stafford County Park and is for participants over 18 years old. Trophies are awarded to winning teams. Ball tournaments take place on the following weekends:
- Memorial Day
- 4th of July
- Labor Day
- “Old Stars”
- Port Hope Co-Ed Tournament
4th of July Festival
The 4th of July festival will take place all weekend long. The event will include the following activities:
- Flea Market: There are vendors of all types from food to craft vendors.
- Parade on Sunday: The parade goes through “The Big Town with the Big Welcome” for everyone to enjoy.
- Tractor Pulls: Taking place Friday night and Saturday afternoon, this event is enjoyed by all ages. Friday night is the modified tractor and pickup truck pulls and Saturday afternoon is the antique tractor pulls.
Wagener County Park
Various tournaments are held throughout the year. Some of the best fisherman in the state (and many novice fisherman), snag large fish on the lake. Enjoy a great time and show off your catch!
High School Cross Country Competitions
Several state, regional and semi-final competitions wind their way through the park. The regional meet is held the last weekend in September and the State meet is held the last weekend in October. This event allows for High School Cross Country teams to come to the Wagener County Park and compete.
This event is a fun filled day for everyone to enjoy, with pumpkin decorating, games, costume contest, hayrides and of course “Trick or Treating” within the park to each site. In the evening hours there is music and dancing for everyone to enjoy.
The Maritime festival includes something for everyone. There are watercraft races, concerts on the beach, a frog jumping contest, volleyball and tug-o-war tournaments, a sand sculpting contest, 5K walk/run, car show, craft show, BIG MONEY RAFFLE and the largest fireworks display on Michigan’s Sunrise Coast.
This event allows the local merchants in Harbor Beach to make their best chili. People can purchase a Harbor Beach button, taste and vote for all the merchants chili to decide the very best.
